  • 15 Press Ups – counting out loud in Korean (to 10 and then 0 - 5)

Line work:

  • Walking Stance Front Kick Double Punch

  • Walking Stance Low Block Rising Block

  • Walking Stance Middle Inner Forearm Block Reverse Punch

Pad Work or Line Work:

  • Ball of the foot (traditional) turning kick using pad or as line work

  • Theory as per back of the handbook (no questions regarding 3 Step sparring for juniors)

Junior 8th Kup Yellow Belt

  • Side kick using pad or as line work (using footsword)

Junior 7th Kup Yellow Belt Green Stripe

Patterns and Exercises:

  • Do-San

  • Dan-Gun

  • Chon-Ji

 

Line Work:

  • Techniques from Do-San -Dan-Gun - Chon-Ji – Sajo Jirugi (or line work from previous gradings)

 

Pad Work or Line Work Drills:

  • Double Punch Side Kick (back leg)

  • Double punch Turning Kick (back leg using instep)

 

Sparring:

  • Hands only sparring

  • (Students must have P.U.M.A. approved sparring gloves and a gum shield to be able to grade)

Theory Questions:

  • Theory as per back of the P.U.M.A. Student handbook questions and any from previous grades.

Junior 6th Kup Green Belt

Patterns:

  • Won-Hyo

  • Do-San

  • Dan-Gun

  • Chon-Ji

Line work:

  • Techniques from Do-San -Dan-Gun - Chon-Ji – Sajo Jirugi (or line work from previous gradings)

Pad Work or Line work Drills:

  • Double Punch Side Kick (back leg)

  • Double punch Turning Kick (back leg using instep)

  • Front Hand Punch Back Leg Back Kick

Sparring:

  • Free Sparring

  • (Students must have a full set of P.U.M.A. approved sparring to be able to grade)

Junior 5th Kup Green Belt Blue Stripe

  • 3 Step Sparring - numbers 1-3
